Week 4 - MM/DD/YY

Reflective Listening

Final homework item - create a Trigger List

Include some small “starter triggers” - what activates you while driving;
household messes; people in the grocery;
Long lines/having to wait -
as well as some of your bigger known triggers.

IF you have a narrator/ inner critic who says unkind things; be sure to add a phrase that is triggering - whether it comes from you or someone else.

Please approach these with curiosity vs judgment, and hold yourself in the deepest respect and compassion IF you are able. <3

See you next week!!

Week 5 - MM/DD/YY

Triggers

HOMEWORK #1 - Processing this week’s class (triggers)

HOMEWORK #2 -

Prepping for next week

JOURNAL ANY/ALL OF THESE PROMPTS (using any method of journaling; actual pen to actual paper; typing/note on phone; verbal journaling - reflective listening with or talking to trusted friend/partner, recording into a voice note, etc)

  1. What surprised you the most about what was hanging out beneath the surface of your trigger - and why it was there? Reflecting back - why did that surprise you?

  2. What did you learn about yourself in this exercise?

  3. How have your triggers been affecting your life - and how have they been keeping you safe?

  4. What are you learning about discomfort and going into emotions - learning to feel the layers of our life’s experiences?

  5. Reflect on your life. What are 5-ish triggers (small, medium or large) that you can ID now?

  6. What might life feel like if these triggers - and the limiting beliefs they were built on - were transformed? How might life shift? How might the way you experience (your life/ yourself / your people) shift?

  1. Take 5 minutes prior to next week’s final call.

  2. Think of someone you admire - in your life, famous/celebrity/historical figure, living or dead.

  3. Write down 3-5 values or reasons you admire that person. That’s it!
